Ingredients
- 4 to 5 Dried bay leaves (whole)
- 1 cup Distilled water
- 2 to 3 drops Vitamin E oil (optional, for extra moisture and preservation)
- 1 teaspoon Pure aloe vera gel (optional, for soothing properties)
Instructions
- Boil the Water: Pour the distilled water into a small saucepan and bring it to a rolling boil over medium-high heat.
- Infuse the Leaves: Add the dried bay leaves to the boiling water. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pan with a lid, and let it simmer gently for 5 to 7 minutes to release all the beneficial botanical nutrients.
- Cool Completely: Turn off the heat and keep the pan covered. Let the bay leaf infusion sit and cool down completely to room temperature. This allows the mixture to steep further.
- Strain and Mix: Once cooled, remove the bay leaves and strain the liquid through a fine-mesh sieve into a clean bowl. If desired, whisk in the vitamin E oil and pure aloe vera gel until thoroughly combined.
- Bottle It: Pour the finished toner into a clean, sterilized glass spray bottle or dropper bottle.
- Apply and Store: After cleansing your face, apply the toner using a cotton pad or mist it directly onto your skin, avoiding the eyes. Follow up with your favorite moisturizer. Store the bottle in the refrigerator for up to 7–10 days for a refreshing, cooling effect!
