Ingredients:
For the Protein:
1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
¾ lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
4 cloves garlic, minced
3 tbsp butter
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp honey (optional for sweetness)
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt & pepper to taste
Red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
For Serving:
Steamed white rice or garlic mashed potatoes
Chopped green onions or parsley for garnish
Instructions:
Step 1: Prep the Steak & Shrimp
Season steak bites with salt and pepper. Pat shrimp dry and lightly season as well. Set both aside while you heat the pan.
Step 2: Sear the Steak
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak bites in a single layer and sear for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove from skillet and set aside.
Step 3: Cook the Shrimp
In the same skillet, add shrimp and cook for 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside with the steak.
Step 4: Make the Garlic Butter Soy Glaze
Lower heat to medium. Add butter to the skillet and let it melt. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Add soy sauce and honey (if using), then stir and simmer until slightly thickened.
Step 5: Combine and Glaze
Return steak bites and shrimp to the skillet. Toss everything in the garlic butter soy glaze and cook for another minute to warm through and coat evenly.
Step 6: Garnish and Serve
Serve hot over rice or mashed potatoes, and garnish with chopped green onions or parsley. Sprinkle red pepper flakes if desired.
